Metta World Peace will be trying something new tomorrow…soccer! He will be at the Vancouver Street Soccer League. This is an organization that uses soccer to help the high risk community in Downtown Eastside Vancouver, which is the poorest neighborhood in Canada. The organization is also teamed up with Street Soccer Canada and Homeless World Cup which all use soccer to empower those who do not have much and involves them in social activity, hoping to uplift and inspire them past their current living conditions. Metta World Peace has his own nonprofit organization, Xcel University, which aims to promote mental health awareness to at risk communities and schools, helping children have a healthy and positive life style. Profits from Metta’s Canvas Lounge Show will be given to the organization.
